This week, author and journalist Steven Johnson returns to the show to discuss his new book, Jim Londos: The Golden Greek of Professional Wrestling!

Londos was in many ways the greatest star that pro wrestling ever produced, and Steve and Brian go in-depth on exactly why that was, as well as Londos’ legacy to the business in general.

It’s a journey back in time to the first half of the 20th century and the accomplishments of the immortal Golden Greek.

Something a little different this week, as by popular demand, Brian pays tribute to his grandfather, Anthony Salica.

Often referred to on the show, Brian wanted to pay tribute to his late grandfather on the occasion of his recent 100th birthday.

This week he shares his own reminiscences, plus a conversation with former boxer and boxing historian Ray McCormack–a former trainee of Mr. Salica’s–as well as some words from the man himself, taken from a 1993 interview Brian did with his grandfather back when he was in college.

It’s an extra-long episode for an extra-special man, covering boxing, a little bit of wrestling, and the life of a man who was loved by all.
